The Friends of Barnett Newman Triangle (BNT) is a nonprofit advocacy group committed to creating a vibrant and resilient green space in the heart of lower Manhattan. Our mission is to transform Barnett Newman Triangle into a valuable natural resource, advocating for environmental preservation and sustainable urban planning through the use of green infrastructure and native landscaping.

BNT holds the esteemed designation as part of the New York City Green Infrastructure Program, an initiative which converts paved traffic islands into critically needed resilient green spaces within the City. Recognized as an irreplaceable asset to our community, the Friends of BNT are committed to collaborating with the City and State in the thoughtful planning, development, and maintenance of this park.
